Hi ... I'm new ... I have a question I need cleared up
I'm going to work on the hall of monuments for gw2
My plan is ritualist and do factions until i can go to nightfall and get 7 heroes then go to finish first campaign then finish up factions then finish nightfall and eotn so I can somewhat see them order but still have a ritualist and 7 heroes for most of the time My question is will this one character get credit for finishing all the campaigns without doing the starter areas or do i need to make a character for each campaign to get credit for the three by doing starter areas as well ??? I want to do everything on one character if possible is why im asking With the exception I've already made a pvp char and got ten keys and sold them for 59k.... On a side note i have no clue how to get that 59 k to my pve character I'm playing the game with ? |

You can play the first few missions in a different campaign then you started your character in, but you'd miss out on the storyline in Factions atleast. In Nightfall there is a special storyline for foreign characters.
So you can play the starter missions on your ritualist and get credit, you wont have to start a new character. To get the gold to your PvE character, you talk to a Xunlai Agent and pay 50g to get access to the account wide storage where you can put your gold. |

You don't have to make a character for each campaign. You can do everything with that one. Finishing campaign means finishing the final mission of it. So you can skip some parts of the game (depending on which campaign you're on and which parts are possible to skip) and still finish the campaigns and get HoM statues.
About 59k. Find the thing called Xunlai chest or Xunlai storage (it's in every outpost), put the money there and just pick it up with your pve character. You should open the storage account with your pve character first (simply talk to Xunlai agent or chest or whatever it is and it will ask you to do it). You'll have to pay some really low, meaningless amount of gold to do so. Last edited by Marty Silverblade; Aug 13, 2012 at 10:44 AM // 10:44.. Reason: removing unnecessary spoilers |

I would say that a rit is a very good character, but not my favourite to start with for your first time through. The main reason is a very valuable skill that needs to either a big grind or have hard mode unlocked.
The skill is called Summon Spirits. To get it you need 103.000 points of factions to farm (53.000 if your in a guild thats allied with one of the two sides in factions). Last edited by Marty Silverblade; Aug 13, 2012 at 10:44 AM // 10:44.. Reason: removing unnecessary spoilers |

Yes you have to complete all the tutorial missions before you can leave SinJea Island (the game will tell you when), once you do leave then you can go to Kaineng City and go to the other campaigns.

The only thing you need a specific campaign character for is Defender of Ascalon, which you can only get in Pre-Searing. (Note though, that there are more statues than point tiers in the Honor monument, so you don't need all of them for GW2.)
Other than that, your plan to get everything on 1 character would work fine. Also, you will need to eventually explore/vanquish the starter areas and complete the missions there if you want to earn those statues, but this can be done with any character. |

The tutorial in nightfall gives access to a tutorial area only accesable during the tutorial of nightfall (so not nightfall characters can not explorer those parts). Those two parts however can be skipped cause the explorer titles give enough leanway. |

Even if you're not Factions character, that area can easly be explored using an omission (glitch) that skips certain spots and allows you to enter and fully explore that area, giving you more than enough leeway in factions.
